An inspirational true story of former linebacker Jon Abbate (’10), the Abbate family’s loss of his younger brother Luke, and the Deacons’ 2006 ACC championship football season, ‘The 5th Quarter’ opens in selected cities across the Southeast on March 25.

Several Wake Forest Clubs are scheduling events around the film’s premiere. Mark your calendars to gather with fellow Deacon fans, reminisce about the greatest season in football history, and take a trip down memory lane with scenes shot on campus and in Winston-Salem.

Look for an article about the film in the Summer 2011 print issue of Wake Forest Magazine.

The movie premieres March 25 in Winston-Salem; Atlanta; Charlotte; Greensboro; Jacksonville, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; Orlando, Fla.; Tallahassee, Fla.; and Tampa, Fla. It stars Andie MacDowell as Maryanne Abbate and Aidan Quinn as Steven Abbate.
