Author and alumna Emily Giffin (’94) will visit the Reynolda campus on April 13 to talk about her time as a Demon Deacon, her brief stint as a lawyer and her life now as a best-selling novelist. She is the author of several books including “Something Borrowed,” “Something Blue” and “Heart of the Matter.”

Giffin, who says she wanted to be a writer as long as she can remember, adds, “Perhaps because we moved around a lot, characters in books became my constant companions, and keeping a journal provided me comfort.”

She will speak at 7:30 p.m. in Pugh Auditorium of Benson Center. A reception follows in the Reynolda Hall Green Room. Her visit is sponsored by the Departments of English and Women’s and Gender Studies, as well as the Panhellenic Council.
