Law school alumna wins journalism scholarship

Elizabeth Billingsley (JD ’05) was honored on April 30 at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington, D.C.

A 2000 graduate of William & Mary and Wake Forest Law School Class of 2005, she was the WHCA scholarship winner.

A former practicing attorney who made a career change, Billingsley completed a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from University of Missouri. She interned last fall with NBC in Washington, D.C., with the investigative unit. She is now a reporter with NBC 2.
